OOLONG TEA

Harvest: May 2017
Origin: Jiu Long Ke, Wu Yi Shan, Fujian, China
Tasting notes: nuts, pears, vanilla, carob, lychee
The 'Que She' tea bush, discovered in 1980, is a natural derivative of the classic Da Hong Pao, with significantly smaller and darker leaves. The appearance of the leaves also earned it its name, "Que She" meaning "sparrow's tongue" in Chinese.
This tea is picked from the first generation of bushes (now 20 years old) from the Jiu Long Ke area, an area renowned for its soil and climate.
The tea is processed at a medium level of oxidation. It can be aged with great results.
